A five-piece band baking Funk, Jazz and Rock into one unholy yet delicious musical pie. Chong Boogie were chosen by BBC Music Introducing to perform in 2018.
For too long, Lincolnshire has been suffering a famine. We’ve been starving for something we so desperately need.
What is that, you ask? It’s The Boogie.
Chong Boogie is a five piece Jazzpop Funk Rock band, drawing influence from musicians which are as varied as your dad’s summer shirt collection.
With Lawrence’s smooth guitar playing, Jack’s bopping bass skills, Joe’s ability to hit things with sticks, and Pip and Georgia’s angelic vocals, they are here to bring the boogie back.
With their first E.P ‘Season One’ released in 2017, they have found success on BBC Introducing, as well as in the local scene in Lincoln and surrounding areas.
They released their second E.P, ‘Season Two’ in May, which some sources say contains the biggest bops, slickest chops and bounciest boogies ever heard in Lincoln.
Put on your most colourful shirt and springiest shoes, as Chong Boogie is bringing the grooves!
