+ Are there limits to the number of children's tickets?
There is no limit to the number of children who may come to the festival; however, as we are only a small, volunteer-run event, there is a limit to the number of discounted tickets that we can afford to put on sale.
The money we make from ticket sales has to cover the cost of staging the festival. While we do try our best to make as many reduced-price tickets available for children as possible, we can't afford to sell too many without putting up the price of everyone else's ticket, or losing too much money.
We're reviewing this situation year-on-year, and our hope is to reach a scenario where there is no limit to the number of reduced-price tickets we can put on sale.
We have sold out of children's tickets in previous years, and would strongly recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.
+ Are tickets refundable?
Tickets to Beyond The Woods are non-refundable. There will be an opportunity for people who have tickets they can no longer use to sell them on through official resale channels in the near future.
+ How much will tickets cost?
We hope to be in a position to confirm ticket prices for Beyond The Woods 2021 shortly. Our cheapest adult ticket in 2020 was £35.
+ I'm bringing a child aged under 5. Do they need a ticket?
Although children aged four and under come to the festival for free, you will still need to register an under-5's ticket on their behalf, as the number of people who can attend the festival is strictly limited by law.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to admit children under 5 without an appropriate ticket.
+ When will tickets go on sale?
We look forward to putting tickets on sale in the autumn.
+ Will day tickets be available?
Yes! We'll be putting day tickets on sale as we get closer to the date of the festival.
+ Will I need to be accompanied by an adult?
If you're aged 16 or over, you do not need to be accompanied by an adult to come to Beyond The Woods; however, 16 & 17-year-olds will need permission from their parent or guardian to attend.
We do require that children aged fifteen or younger are accompanied by a responsible adult (18+) at all times.
+ Are The Arboretum and Quiet/Family campsites suitable for those with special access requirements?
While the main public campsite is mere seconds' walk from The Arena, The Arboretum and Quiet/Family Campsite are a bit further away (otherwise they wouldn't be quieter).
The walk to The Arboretum is approximately 250m from the arena, and the Quiet/Family Campsite is a further 350m walk away. Although neither walk is particularly challenging, we do recognise that these could present a problem for festival-goers with access requirements, particularly in wet weather.
If you would like to camp in these areas, but have concerns about their accessibility, please don't hesitate to get in touch and we'll try our very best to help.
+ Can I bring my campervan/caravan/trailer tent?
You're very welcome to bring your campervan, caravan or trailer tent; however, as space in our vehicle camping site is strictly limited, you will need to book a space.
We'd kindly ask that you don't bring your van unless you have booked a pitch in advance, as we will not be able to accommodate you. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate vehicles of any kind in the main public campsite.
+ Can I park my car in the campsite?
With the exception of the Quiet/Family Campsite, vehicles are not permitted to enter the camping areas and must be left in the car park.
If you have a mobility issue and need help transporting your belongings, please get in touch so that we can arrange this for you.
+ Is camping included in the cost of my ticket?
Weekend ticket holders may camp at Beyond The Woods free of charge. As the name suggests, camping is unfortunately not included in the price of day tickets.
There is an additional charge for some camping upgrades, including quiet/family camping, glamping, and for those wishing to bring a live-in vehicle such as a campervan or caravan.
+ What are the rules of the quiet/family campsite?
The quiet/family campsite is designed for those who are looking for a more tranquil festival experience. In spite of its name, it's open to anybody who wants to camp there.
This campsite is situated very close to a number of residential properties, and we do have a few extra rules to keep everything manageable.
To find out more, head on over to our camping page.
+ Will there be showers in the campsite?
Our glamping and quiet/family campsites do include showers, but unfortunately showers are not available in the main public campsite.
This is something we'd like to address in the future; however, at the moment the cost of installing enough showers for everyone would be prohibitively expensive
+ Are pets permitted at Beyond The Woods?
With the exception of assistance animals, such as guide dogs, pets are unfortunately not allowed at the festival.
+ Can I bring my own food/drink to Beyond The Woods?
You are very welcome to bring a reasonable amount of food or drink for your own personal consumption across the weekend.
Please note that the only drinks that can be taken into The Arena are soft drinks in sealed plastic bottles or cans. Alcoholic beverages must be left in the campsite.
We appreciate that this isn't the most convenient arrangement for everyone, but we're hugely reliant on bar sales to help cover the cost of putting on the festival and we'd really appreciate your support in helping to keep the festival going. Plus, at £3.50 a pint, we think our prices are pretty reasonable 🙂
+ How/when can I apply to trade at Beyond The Woods
We expect to open applications to trade in the new year. Keep an eye on our festival newsletter for more information.
+ What help is available for disabled attendees?
We'd like for anybody to be able to attend Beyond The Woods, and so if you have any particular requirements please let us know as soon as possible so we can discuss how we can help.
We're pleased to be able to offer a free carer's ticket to attendees with a disability. Again - please contact us for further information.
+ What's the festival's policy on glass?
Glass bottles/containers are strictly prohibited on the Beyond The Woods site.
Throughout the rest of the year, Stourton Woods is home to a herd of deer. Any breakages could potentially be fatal, so we'd very kindly ask you to decant your drinks into an alternative container before setting off for the festival
+ When will the line up be announced?
We expect to be able to announce the line up for Beyond The Woods 2021 in the spring.
+ When will you open applications to perform at the festival?
We'll be opening applications to perform in spring 2021. Please keep an eye on our social media for updates, and when applications do open we'll announce them via our monthly newsletter
