We’re very sorry to have to tell you that, because of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, this year’s festival has been cancelled.
After much consideration, and with a great deal of disappointment, we are very sorry to have to tell you that Beyond The Woods 2020 has been cancelled.
Having listened to all the available advice we’ve decided that, in light of the Coronavirus pandemic, it would not be safe for this year’s festival to go ahead. Unfortunately, it would also be impossible to implement effective social distancing measures at a festival like Beyond The Woods.
We are also mindful of the fact that our festival is reliant on the help and advice of our hard-working emergency services. Naturally, we don’t want to add to their workload during this very difficult period.
We are all deeply saddened that we’re not going to be able to get together for what would have been our biggest festival yet; however, we hope that you can understand why the festival will not be going ahead this year.
Options For Ticket Holders
If you have already bought your ticket to this year’s festival, you have two choices:
After a short break our brilliant team will be starting work on Beyond The Woods 2021, which will take place at Stourton Woods from 6th – 8th August.
Tickets for Beyond The Woods 2020 will be transferred to next year’s event automatically, and at no extra cost. You’re essentially getting next year’s ticket at this year’s price.
If you’d like to carry your ticket over to Beyond The Woods 2021 you don’t need to do anything at all, and you’ll receive confirmation of your transfer in the autumn, once the window for refunds has closed.
Of course, if you would like to apply for a refund instead you are very welcome to do so. Ticket-holders who would like to have their ticket price refunded should email firstname.lastname@example.org.
As you may know, Beyond The Woods is an independent festival, run by a group of friends and volunteers. We don’t have big corporate backers, and we’re reliant on ticket sales to keep the festival going. If you can afford to carry your tickets over to next year you would be doing the festival a very great favour, and we would be enormously grateful.
If you would prefer a refund we do completely understand, and we hope that nobody who would like their money back will be put off from applying.
For more information on your ticket options for next year, please visit beyondthewoods.co.uk.
We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported the festival this year: A huge list of names which includes sponsors, volunteers, performers, our friends at Stourton Estates, the emergency services and, most importantly, you guys.
Without your continued enthusiasm and support, buying tickets and spreading the word, Beyond The Woods would not have been able to get anywhere near the event that it is today, and we hope we’ll be able to say thank you by putting on an even more spectacular festival next August.
We’d also like to say an enormous thank you to the Beyond The Woods organising committee – a group of people who have given up weeks of their time, completely voluntarily, to help plan this year’s event.
To have put in so much work, only to cancel everything at the last minute is incredibly tough to take, but we are all hugely grateful for your passion and determination year after year.
We’ll be back with more information on our plans for 2021, in the near future. In the meantime, if you have any questions about this year’s festival please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Most importantly, please make sure that you stay safe, do your bit to help stop the spread of coronavirus, and protect the NHS and each other.
