Tom is a multi-instrumentalist and producer from Lincoln. He was invited to perform at 2018’s festival by BBC Music Introducing.
Songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Thomas Day has been consistently honing his craft and developing his sound through his D.I.Y, self taught approach to production.
Hailing from Lincoln, UK, Tom received musical training from a young age, later becoming infatuated with producing his own releases from his home studio.
Taking inspiration from the likes of Tom Misch, Isaac Waddington, and FKJ he blends Neo-Soul and modern Hip-Hop styles together while incorporating his own unique twist. Adopting live looping and sampling into his performances further develops his creativity and presence on stage, allowing him to create a more complex and full sound despite taking the stage as a solo artist.
He first gained interest from BBC Introducing in Lincolnshire following the release of his single ‘The Fear’. Since then his debut EP ‘Reflections’ has also been played on the programme in full, gaining high praise from presenters Chris Berrow and Hayley Ritchie.
Striving to continue releasing his music, Tom’s latest singles ‘Poison’ and ‘This Feeling’ received similar praise and airtime on BBC Introducing in Lincolnshire and BBC 6 Music.
With new music well underway, Tom is set to continue this trend of self-produced success and develop himself as a more established artist.
